Apple Cinnamon Protein Pancakes

In honour of the harvest season, I made a batch of these yummy (healthy) #proteinpancakes!

They are so easy to make, and let me tell you -- my family devoured them, leaving no leftovers for the freezer!

You're busy during the week I know that (because so am I). Always rushing in the mornings and the kiddos are eating cereal almost every day right? Well here's a #momhack for you: Make a big batch of these and keep them in the freezer! Pop them into the toaster for a minute or two and BAM! You are a supermom who's whipping up pancakes on a school day! And the best part is that they are full of good nutrients, balancing the kids appetite first thing in the morning. That's a #momwin

And make some for yourself too lady! Because you need to start your day on more than coffee.

Here's the recipe:

- 1/4 cup quick oats

- 1 egg & 2 egg whites

- 1/2 cup organic apple sauce

- 1 tsp cinnamon

- 1 tbsp milled flaxseed

- 1 tsp chia seed

- dash of Himalayan salt

Using a nonstick pan or prepped with a little bit of coconut oil (1 tsp, or spray). Cook on low to medium heat and flip CAREFULLY!

Top with cinnamon or real maple syrup (which has the lowest glycemic index when looking at sugary syrups/honeys).

Enjoy and be ready for lots of kisses & hugs from the little ones after they've filled up on a healthy breakfast!
